Update to my last post. I went to the Western Digital website to see if there was some type of information missing. After navigating through their website, I saw the technical support telephone number and decided to call hoping they wouldn’t have me on hold for an extended period. They answered very quickly and their support personnel talked me through the process of getting the hard drive to format on my Macbook. By tonight I will transfer all of my media files over to the external hard drive and I will be up and running on the Final Cut Studio software. Yea!
